Hemp is an environmentally friendly product that has a beige earth-like color: dark ecru. The coarse weaving method makes the fabric supple despite its sturdiness. When the Hemp shroud is closed, is has a beautiful natural look.
In the often hectic days of processing and mourning, intimate moments are very valuable. A shroud can be folded alone or by a small group of relatives, which is a memorable ritual. Shroud folding instructions
Yes, it is possible to use a shroud for a cremation, as long as it is combined with a carrier. Some crematoriums require a carrier to have a flat bottom plate and an upright edge. In such cases, a cremation input board must be used. Always discuss the situation with the crematorium to prevent misunderstandings.

A shroud can be stored for years as long as it is kept in a dark room. The best thing to do is to remove the plastic (if there is any), and place it in a cotton cover. We would also advice you to take it out of storage once a year for some air.
