Can a shroud be used for a cremation?

Yes, it is legally possible to organise a burial or cremation with a shroud in the Netherlands. Most crematoriums have experience in doing this. Sometimes some water or an extra cloth is used, but this is not necessary for safety: the natural fabrics are flame retardant. However, the crematoriums have their own prescriptions.
