The Hemp shroud is made of a coarse hemp fabric. Hemp is an environmentally friendly product that has a natural beige earth tone: dark ecru. This gives the Hemp shroud a beautiful natural look. The coarse weaving method and the stiffness of the fabric allow the shroud to be draped in beautiful shapes.

What is the best way to fold the shroud?

There are two ways in which the shroud can be folded. The folding instructions are always included.

Can a shroud be used for cremation?

Yes, it is possible to use a shroud, in combination with a carrier, for cremation. Some crematoria require the use of a Cremation input board when the carrier doesn't have a flat bottom plate. Always contact the crematorium or the funeral director you are working with, to be sure what the requirements are.

Can a shroud be purchased now and be stored for a long time?

A shroud can be stored for years as long as it is kept in a dry, dark space. We recommend placing the shroud in a cotton cover or pillowcase.
