This felted sheepskin mattress is made of 100% Dutch wool. This is special because wool weaving mills have slowly disappeared from the Netherlands in recent years. Almost all local wool has since been exported as a residual product to Chinese weaving mills, which means that wool often comes with major environmental impact. The wool of our sheepskin mattress comes from the Drents heath sheep, which is used for nature conservation. The material is then locally manufactured.
