Flannel, roughened on both sides

The flannel of this Soft Shroud is made from unbleached organic cotton. This cotton is roughened on both sides, which makes the fabric feel particularly soft and thick. By leaving the flannel unbleached, the characteristic warm ecru cotton colour is retained. The fabric falls smoothly and is therefore easy to fold and drape.

In the often hectic days surrounding the organization of a funeral, intimate and connected moments are very valuable. Taking time to fold a shroud creates one of those moments. Those involved can decide for themselves to what extent the shroud is open or closed, and the shroud can be folded further and further over time.

Organic flannel

The cotton we use for our Soft Shrouds is 100% organic. The cotton is processed into flannel in Izmir, Turkey. The cotton from this area is one of the most beautiful types there is. This can be seen and felt in the fabric. In addition, cotton from Turkey is sustainable, as it is located in Europe and water use is highly efficient.
