A last wish: respect for nature
"A simple stretcher in harmony with the wishes of the deceased, how well can it go..."
Funeral director Koop Geersing wrote an article about Wikkelgoed in the regional newspaper De Vierklank of May 23, 2014.
"A deeply cherished wish to spare and respect nature was answered by a simple stretcher of willow branches and a shroud. Here is the story of a funeral director who can fulfill the wishes of a dying person and help to guide the farewell in a good way."
Wikkelgoed makes and supplies products that offer the opportunity to treat nature respectfully, even after death. The Takkenbaar , made entirely of willow prunings, is a good example of this. Most of the shrouds are now organic or sustainably made.
