Three new colored shrouds
New month, new colors
As of today, March 1st, we have three new versions of the colored wade: Old Rose, Dusty Mint and Soft Yellow. Two pastel colours and a warm, deep ochre yellow.
Dusty Mint 320
The origin of the word pastel lies in the French translation of the word 'woad blue'. This dye, which was extracted from the woad plant (Isatis tinctoria) was used as a blue dye before the widespread use of indigo. As a tribute to this origin, we wanted to add a blue pastel color to our range.
Old Rose 091
For years, we have had a bright pink colored shroud in our assortment. A powerful, present color. But pink also has an other side, a soft side. That is why we wanted to expand our range with this pale pastel pink: a mature, warm color. This pink is often associated with love, and is experienced as calming.
Soft Yellow 580
Soft yellow is a deep ochre yellow. Originally, ochre is an earth based colour, which means that the dyes are extracted from ground surfaces in Australia, among other places. The dye there is used by Aboriginals to color their bodies. The color is also often used as a bottom layer for paintings to give the entire painting a certain warmth. A natural, intriguing and warm colour:
Colored canvas shrouds
All our colored shrouds are made of canvas. Due to the stiffness of the fabric, the shrouds can be folded into neat folds. This creates clear shadow lines on the shroud, which accentuate the depth of the color. Despite the stiffness, it is a breathable fabric. The fabric is evenly colored, which gives the shroud a serene look when folded. Curious about the rest of our colors? Then have a look at the color overview of our Colored canvas shrouds .
