Carolien Haver is a versatile and idiosyncratic artist and autodidact. Her designs are characterized by originality and a unique view of the world. Her oeuvre includes watercolors, ceramic objects and in recent years mainly products made of wool. The enormous variety of possibilities and applications of this natural material has captivated her. How did the Wikkelbaar come into being?
With her years of experience with wool and her knowledge of its quality and possibilities, Carolien Haver came up with the idea for a woolen shroud and carrier. This unique design combines the strength of a carrier with the security of a blanket.
The Wikkelbaar is dignified, approachable and soft. Sustainability was central to the choice of materials and sustainability goes hand in hand with abundance: every year nature produces beautiful wool from sheep, creating a renewable and environmentally friendly raw material. The Wikkelbaar is therefore made of the heaviest possible quality wool. All materials used are of natural origin and environmentally friendly. They do not burden the earth, but rather nourish it.
Vision
Carolien designs with an eye for valuable local materials and strives to make a difference in the field of sustainability, without making concessions to quality or appearance. She says about this: "You don't make a difference alone, you do it together." That is why she has set up a network of companies and suppliers to ensure the continuity of her sustainable designs.

The Wikkelbaar – Practical information
The Wikkelbaar offers the possibility to be used both open and closed. If desired, it can also be closed briefly, so that everyone can say goodbye in their own way. The Wikkelbaar is suitable for all types of funerals and can be placed on a cooling unit.
The carrier is generously covered with very soft lamb's wool, a material that offers comfort and warmth. Relatives may, if desired, take a tuft of wool with them as a tangible memory. By using completely natural materials, the Wikkelbaar is an environmentally friendly choice that has no negative effects on nature, but is part of the natural cycle.
