The Basic shroud is made of organic molton. The carrier of unvarnished poplar plywood (length external dimension 205cm, width 63cm).

Basic shroud

The Basic shroud is made of organic molton. This natural fabric is soft to the touch and easy to drape. The shroud consists of one piece of molton, so there is no seam in the middle.

Basic carrier

The Basic carrier has a simple shape and a soft look, due to the unvarnished poplar wood. The carrier has six handles, through which a shroud can also be fastened with our shroud straps. This carrier does not require an extra cremation input board.

The Flower arranger for the basic carrier was designed by Jantine Kraaijeveld of Bloemenband.nl. Initially, it was only available for coffins, but Jantine entered into a partnership with Wikkelgoed to make this wonderful initiative possible for carriers as well.

Is a carrier necessary when using a shroud?

When a shroud is used only for a wake, a stretcher is not always necessary. If the shroud is used for a burial or cremation, then a carrier is mandatory.
Can a carrier be purchased now and be stored for a long time?

It is possible to store a carrier for a long time. The Basic carrier is best stored in a dry, dark space, such as an attic or storage room.
What is the best way to transport the carrier in the hearse?

When transporting the carrier in a hearse, it is important that the body is fastened to the carrier. This can be done with one of our Shroud straps. Also make sure that the carrier is placed horizontally.
